FHCP Employees Volunteer to Pack 963 Food Bags for Brevard County Children

On a dedicated Monday evening in Brevard County, Florida Health Care Plans (FHCP) employees took action for a cause close to our hearts - combating child hunger. Partnering with The Children’s Hunger Project, FHCP volunteers showcased teamwork and compassion, packing an incredible 963 food bags to tackle local food insecurity.

These efforts contribute to The Children’s Hunger Project’s mission of delivering 4,000 weekly meals to elementary schools across the county, ensuring children have access to food over the weekends. This initiative is vital for those facing food insecurity at home, providing the nutrition necessary for their well-being outside school hours.

“Knowing that your efforts directly impact a child’s well-being is incredibly fulfilling,” said Kristen Morse, Community Engagement Wellness Coordinator. “Being part of such a cause is an opportunity to make a tangible difference in a child’s life, giving them the chance to succeed both in and out of the classroom. Every hour spent volunteering contributes to breaking the cycle of hunger, one meal at a time.”

Our heartfelt thanks go to every FHCP employee who contributed their time and effort towards this great cause. Your dedication to serving our community embodies the spirit of Florida Health Care Plans, proving that our commitment extends beyond healthcare to nurturing the overall well-being of those around us.
